1. Open Registry Editor, To do this, go to Start button then click on Run. Type in REGEDIT then press OK.
For Vista/Windows 7: Click on Vista button, and type REGEDIT in search bar then press enter.
2. Navigate to the following branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services \Spooler
3. In the right-pane, double-click the DependOnService value Delete the existing data, and then type RPCSS
Close registry editor.
4. Restart the computer.
* if method 1 failed to resolved the issue go to Method 2
In both( XP & Window 7)delete the contents of the following folders
Once you do this, just physically disconnect local printer (unplugged the USB cable),
wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it.
